Beach Bash Doubles, est 1996
Beach Bash Doubles is a doubles volleyball tournament in Denver, Colorado early each June. Sponsored by The Island and Volleyball of the Rockies, Beach Bash Doubles (BB2's) offers 12 different divisions of play. Sand Open Divisions (Men's/Women's) will be played at the Island Beach Facility, while grass and Dinosaur divisions are played at Garland Park.
Beach Bash gets a little bigger and better each year. This year, Beach Bash will be recognizing the 10 year anniversary of The Island, and 20 years' of VOTR. In addition to a t-shirt, each player will receive a coupon good for dinner at the Island during Saturday nights player party. Festivities during the evenings bash will include:
Dinner: Players Dinner from 6-9 pm
Finals: Open Division players will be competing for an all expense paid trip to Karch
Karaly's US Open of Beach Volleyball in Santa Barbara, CA this September.
This is an invitation only event represents 32 of the countries best amateur teams.
Awards: All Garland divisions will receive their prizes at the Men's/Women's Finals.
Music: Rob Wivchar (8 - 10 pm) followed by the Ken Lee and Solar (10 pm - midnight)
Giveaways: Play in the tournament and your name is automatically in the hat
for great giveaways during the Bash including: Park and Sun Nets,
BBQ Grills, Wilson Volleyballs, VOTR/Island schwag and much more.
We look forward to having you join us for this years Bash....it should be a weekend to remember. Play the tourney, and then get cleaned up and head to the Island as we say thank you to all the players and team captains that have helped make the Island and VOTR a success over the year's.
